So for the introduction if it is about a novel or film start by naming the text and the author. If it's more a presentation then start with something catchy like a quote then go on to cover your main points. Depending on the guidelines of the assignment then a speech should be fine, however, if you are allowed to do something like a video or powerpoint then you could also use that. It's up to you, just go with what you feel most confident with.
